i had the same problem

this problem sounds like th one i had with my z28 . i searched and searched for the problem even sittin there with a tech 2 , i had seen know problems.....wouldnt you know it that in place of the o2 sensors i have sims ,,,, they were old and looked like i needed new ones so i purchased new ones with the pretty red light on them from summit and guess what not only was the old simulator was bad but the wiring to the sim was cut during the re-installation of my new 355ci......hense no red light there for we checked the wires from point a to b and walaa a cut,,,,i repaired it and she doesnt do what you were saying yours is doing.....a bad o2 sensor will trip a check engine but it doesnt point to the o2 ..that sensor will make your car run rich at a idle after a few mins feels like it wants to stall if it is bad,,,,i just had a 97 monte carlo doing the same thing at my buddies shop replaced the o2 sensor and it was fine i would go with looking more into depth with the o2 sensors
