Spark Plugs & Wires

Spark Plugs & Wires
Ok well the mechanic told me I need new spark plugs & wires, but the car only has 51,000 miles on it. But its def. not running right- (bogs when I give it full throttle from a complete stop, slightly hesitates throughout the rpms sometimes). Does this def. sound like i need new plugs/wires? How hard would it be to change them myself? The mechanic told me $300 for plugs/wires & labor. Any info is appreciated.

Re: Spark Plugs & Wires
Yea, Id recommend new plugs and get wires if the old ones are burnt or have high resistance. It is a difficult job to do yourself, but not impossible, It was the first thing i did on my car and I knew next to nothing, so I don't think it'd be too hard.

To me saving the 300 bucks is well worth the bit of trouble you may have doing it yourself......and if your going to own one of these cars its best to start learning how to work on them.
Its not that tough and it will give you some good experience with where everything is located and how best to work in the engine bay.
If you get stuck just jump on here and ask questions.....these guys have helped me out alot.
