So you are saying that anyone with Platinum Tiped plugs would have a better spark if they ran a Copper plug like an Autolight? And throw the Platinum in the trash....Then why does Bosh always say that the platinum +4 is the best performance plug?
I hate Bosh anyways but the people who buy this stuff really need to know..

 

Bro, there's nothing "wrong" with running a plat plug. They last a long time and they are decent performance wise. More importantly... "they last a long time".
That's what most people want.... an engine that can go "50k before it's first tune-up" or whatever the phrase GM and so many car companies are pushing these days. Besides that, many of the new engines aren't the most accessable, LT's included.

Personally, I don't mind changing plugs a little more often, so I go with a copper plug. I trade the longevity for a tad bit of extra performance.
