speaking of recalls...

Since I still have the stock drive shaft that shakes out my fillings at 100+ mph, can I take her to the dealership to have it swapped out for free? That seems too good to be true.

Give them a call, worth a shot. Try more than one dealership if you don't get the answer you want

I worked at a Pontiac dealer from 98-02 and the driveshaft replacement was not a recall, but a service bulletin and only involved LS1 cars built between certain production dates. Its worth a call to the dealer but I doubt they will do anything for you now since bulletins are there to help a technician diagnose a problem and are usually only covered under the 3/36 warranty.
