Sportline kit and 17x11 Zr1 Wheels
I have a 93 z with sportline springs on it now. I was thinking about getting the 17x11 zr1 wheels but i didnt know about the fitment with a lowerec car. I also have a friend that has these rims already and has a pro kit ready to go on. Will he have any problems?

well i have Intrax springs and it rubs in the rear with 02' SS 17x9.5" wheels, so yes its going to rub with the 11's and sportlines, but with the prokit.... hes going to modify the wells a little bit and should be good after that... hope that helps

Get out your hammer and bang in the fender well where they rub, you will also need to role the fender lips, but they will fit.
I have a buddy with Jamex lowering springs which are pretty low and hes got 11"s on the back with the 50 mm offset.

Isn't there two different offsets? The guy Flyboy was talking about that is going with the ProKit, his rims do not stick out at all, they come to the edge of the inside fender lip. Other pics I have seen of the 17x11's, stick out almost 1.5 inches.

Yeah, you can get them in either offset from www.afswheels.com .

I guess I'm going to have to do some beating. I bought the rims in the GS offset. So when i get some tires on them we'll see how it works. What is your recommendation on tires?

If you get an ADJ. panhard rod it will save you some banging.
I have John Ames Eibachs (big drop) on my car with 17x11s in back they don't rub the inner fenders at all, however if I take big bumps too fast they will rub the top of the fenders.
BTW I run 315 Nitto 555Rs and won't ever go back to regular street tires.

My 17x11's went on with no problems. Just had to grind down the bump stops a little bit b/c the wheels hit them when the axle was drooping. (like jacking the car up by frame and letting the axle hang down)
