Alright folks i have a question. One of my 1995 TA's wont start at all anymore. The other day I started it up and it died right away. I Tried restarting it and it wouldnt fire up. So i let it set for a little while. I tried later and it fired right up and ran fine for a couple of days no problem starting at all. Next thing is my fiance goes to start it up and it wont fire. Hasnt fired ever since. So I did the quick checks, i.e. fueses and what not. It sat all weekend and I went out and turned the key to see if i could hear the fuel pump prime up and NOTHING. So my question is, fuel pump or relay or something else all together. I checked for spark and it had spark at the coil so Im stumped. Would it be ok to take the Relay off my good running car and check it on the one that wont start or just go buy a relay and fuel pump and dive in? Also any guieds on chaning a fuel pump on these cars without dropping the gas tank which looks like a bitch to do?

First off I assume it cranks fine but just won't fire up. Because it's coming and going like it is, it sounds fuel pump. Did you ever run it real low on fuel? If so there you go. First thing to do is get a fuel pressure gage with a hose so you can tape it to the windshield. While you're out, get a fuel filter too and change it then check the pressure. The relay is easy to check with a couple of wires and an ohm meter. If all that checks out, check spark at the plugs but doubt that's the problem.

Checked for spark at the plugs and have plenty of it, i tested the relay in my other 95 trans am and its fine so my last conclusion is fuel pump. ANyone got detailed instructions on how to change the beast?

Have you tested it? There are other things it could be. Testing will be a hell of lot easier if it turns out that is not the problem.

Correct me if im wrong but if the pump isnt working I wont have any fuel pressure at at all right? I mean i get no noise at all from the feul pump. What else could it be that im missing? Thanks for all the help folks.
