Starter main cable gauge? Alternator? Dist. box?
Doing a battery relocation....need to know what gauge sizes each of the three cables are that connect together at the positive terminal.
I need to buy a distribution block that I can hook the main battery cable into and then hook all three of those cables into.....just need to know the sizes so I know what distribution block to buy.
Looks like the starter cable and the cable going to the red distribution block are 4 gauge, and the alternator wire is 8 gauge.....is this right?
Thanks....

OK, maybe I was wrong. I think the wire going to the red distribution block is a bit smaller than 4 gauge. Not sure though.
Ugh...I really need to get this block ordered so I can get this thing done. Anyone any idea?

I'm pretty sure the stock postive and negative cables are 6 gauge... I replaced both my battery cables with 4 gauge and the stock ones were smaller... You know of course if you're moving the battery farther away you should bump the gauge size up, right?

The main cable coming from the battery (at the rear) is 0/1 gauge.
I'm just running that 0/1 gauge into a distribution block and hooking the other 3 cables into that same block (starter cable, alternator, and the one that goes to the stock red box...you know, the one with the lid that always breaks ).
I have read that some people have run the 0/1 all the way to the starter, but I think that I can get enough power up to the front with the 0/1 that I can branch it off to the stock cables and still be OK.
