starter that won't. . . .

ok, so I have a 95Z and my starter was going out, it would click like the solenoid was actuating and sometimes it would start after a few key turns, then it got to alot of key turns for it to start. so I replaced the starter and it only started twice with the same deal of having to turn the key several times to get it to crank. now it wont do anything but the solenoid click. what gives?? oh and when it did start twice with the new starter it turned kinda slow, but I still have all my accessories and my lights still come on fairly bright, so I'm not so sure it would be the battery. help please this **** is driving me crazy.

are you positive the wires are on the starter nice and tight. get under them and see if you can wiggle them at all. if so tighten them.

Check your battery voltage, and connections.
