Starting to panic

Starting to panic
I just recently replaced changed my opti (Chandler) and (Brand new 200$)water pump, and the car has been sitting because of many other things including the rear dif spyder gears breaking the day after i finally got everything finished. Today I was driving for the first time (again) in a while and car runs great so far. Got home and seen antifreeze pouring under the car, checked radiator, almost a gallon low however i never smelled antifreeze while driving and temp was right were it always is. Can't find any spot where it might be leaking but there is antifreeze all over the metal under the radiator and it is coming from the pass side like under the battery which doesn't make sense because i have replaced almost every single hose up front and also the one under the battery. (maybe overflow????)
So i went to get some more antifreeze and hit the gas a little bit and backfired and threw the ses light.....code 36,42, and a low speed fan one not sure of the number ( i was using my new cable that i finally got and tts datamaster)
I can't afford this car. It's almost 10 grand into it so far and it just does not end

Re: Starting to panic
I would check all the hose connections and see if they are snug and have no breaks. I would be suprised that it be something unrelated to what you just did. Hope the opti is not getting wet!

Re: Starting to panic
think i found the problem with the leaking, the bleeder screw right by the therm. neck is all chewed up and stripped out, anywhere sell them?? Pretty sure i have gotten coolant on the opti, but i got a chandler one and took it apart and sealed the s*** out of it with hi temp sillicone and red loctite on the rotor screws and whenever i bled the air out i dont think i did it right but i do cover the opti with a rag, found out my oil leak is fixed also since i did the intake there is no more dripping and the plug wires used to be covered on the opti and now everything is dry.
I took all the wires off and checked them and they are all still like new, anyone know any other causes of the codes? ICM and coil are stock and i know that my MAF sensor wire pigtail is in bad shape also.........

Re: Starting to panic
The hose with the bleeder is all-in-one. You could probably find a used one and cut and splice it BUT given the opti is right under it, do you want to take the chance of it leaking? Replace the whole hose, you'll have a better piece of mind.

Re: Starting to panic
You can purchase the entire thermostat cover/neck/bleeder screw assembly from GM. It's not much money, about $20 or so. Mine was all screwed up and stripped out too from the previoius owner. I just cut my losses and got a brand new GM part, never had a problem yet.
