Steam pipe gaskets

Do I really need new gaskets or can I re-use the old ones and put some rtv on them? They are just rubber so I find it hard to believe they would be bad from removing them once.

Don't think so. Does an oil drain plug seal look like this?

I have been told that NAPA 730-2922 oil cooler line gasket kit has seals that will work and it's less than $10.

If you look at the pic in the link in my post, you would know it's the right p/n.

crap - I didn't even click on that, I thought it was a picture of an oil bolt gasket, but upon further review (read: actually reading) I now realize it's not.

You used them twice. I guess the rubber is pretty pliable and it doesnt get affected by crush when torquing them.
I just realized I need these, possibly.
