Steam pipe...routing (griffen rad)

Okay I know its been asked a ton of times but I cant seem to get a forsure answer. I just got my car running with the turbo setup and I have a griffen rad and it doesnt have the steam hookup. So i was told tap into the upper rad hose(thermostat one). I have done this and the car gets to like 230 degrees!
I have read it needs to be on the non pressure/return side which would be the lower hose?

Any input?

i dont have a t-stat in my car. When i ran the turbo AND pushers, the car got super hot. no more turbo, car still gets 180ish. I imagine if i switch to pullers it will run quite a bit cooler. do you have yours t'd in on the hose closer to the t-body after the hose y's off?

I have the steam t-d into the upper rad hose...which I think is why its pressurizing thw upper hose. I think I'm gonna pull the rad and drill the rad or go into the lower hose(pass side)

i tried it into the pass side and it got super hot. I think you have your hoses wrong. look at SHbox's diagram here:
http://shbox.com/1/93-94_hoses.jpg

Edit: I see you have it into the hose that comes from te thermostat. The thermostat should go to the passenger side low mount, and waterpump to the driver side high-mount.

Forget the upper radiator hose. Tap the back of the waterpump under the thermostat. I have mine that way. No problems in 9 years.
Lmk if you need a better explanation.
Hope this helps.

Are u sayin just drill a hole under the tstat and tap it?

Also could I hook it to a heater line? I have my heater capped off.

Any radiator shop could add that for 25 or 30 bucks... Also what fans do you have... My car would not stay cool with a Mono 2650 cfm flex had to run dual pullers fans... No problem at all...

Oh wait **** looking at the diagram I noticed I have mine right, for some reason i was thinking it was tapped into the thermostat one. but it deffinitly is tapped into the driverside which isnt the thermostat one.

Damnit!

Okay well that did nothing (putting it into the tstat housing)

I think IM gonna try some derale 4000CFM fans, Like mine say 1600 cfm each but if i stick a piece of paper in front of the rad it wont even stick...
