The car needs more fuel and timing for E85 to work properly.. Supercharged, turbo and high compression cars will see the most gains from E85.

Thanks for clearing that up

Next question, how did you get Joe O to grind a cam for you? I thought he wasn't doing that anymore

Did you have to do anything to the fuel system for the E85? I know alky likes to eat up seals and stuff and on a carbed motor you have to change out to an alky carb.

Thats pretty impressive, what all did you have to change to run E85?
Any downsides to the swap? (other than limited E85 availability)

I not ready to call BS, but a lot of that looks a bit iffy.

Where did you dyno? Who did your dyno tune? Where did you run the times in your sig? When did you run them? What does your car look like?

I race at Barona and Qualcomm an average of 2 times a month and have NEVER seen a car with your setup. I have never even heard of a car with this setup.

And I know there are limited places to buy E85 in San Diego. Where are you buying?

1/4 mile times in LACR (Palmdale, CA)
Dyno Tune done by Bob Jennings Dyno in Sepluveda, CA (San Fernando Valley - Los Angeles)
downside: 91 octane: 240miles tank / e85: 190miles tank
camaro is black 97 SS w/ a real LT4 engine, heads, intake
(a FACTORY LT4) just has a salvaged title and had the 6speed replaced w/ a 4L65 when the 6speed blew up

the only place in CA you can get E85 is pearson ford @ 15fwy/el cajon bl that i can find - anyone else have other sources?

and since regular gas is E10 - the fuel system should be fine w/ E85 - no problems yet - been running for about 2 years

**EDIT: times and dyno in signature are my best/top numbers / DynoShop in Santee about 1 year ago had me @ 463RWHP w/ same setup that i got me 486RWHP in LA / Last dyno was about 1 year ago, last time i ran was about 18 months ago**

Sounds like a badass setup. I actually worked on permiting that dealership for E85 and that is one of the only places you can buy it at the pump. There are a couple of others in the process, but I don't think they are pumping yet.

Your car sounds like a good run for my car. If you ever decide to run at the Q or Barona, send me a PM. I'd love to run another Fbody that runs good numbers.

Sorry for almost calling BS on you, the car/times/setup just seemed a bit much for a new member with 15 posts that I had never seen at the track before. Good luck with it.

Humongous valves too. What cam are you running? Assuming SR with the shaft mounts....
