Stock Bottom End Dyno#s For LT1 N/A 93 Octane and on E85

Sounds like a badass setup. I actually worked on permiting that dealership for E85 and that is one of the only places you can buy it at the pump. There are a couple of others in the process, but I don't think they are pumping yet.
Your car sounds like a good run for my car. If you ever decide to run at the Q or Barona, send me a PM. I'd love to run another Fbody that runs good numbers.
Sorry for almost calling BS on you, the car/times/setup just seemed a bit much for a new member with 15 posts that I had never seen at the track before. Good luck with it.

its all good - i been a member for quite some time, just havent been online in a long time...
honestly - i think i gained so much from e85 is because my static compresison is 12.8:1 - and the higher octane helped a lot..
i raced cars in the 1/4 mile that i had better times than me - but they had better times than me in the 1/8 - the numbers i posted was from my best run...not my average or most recent. the car has 175,000 miles on it now (motor has about 53,000 miles and tansmission has about 20,000) and i need to rebuild some of the front end suspension... maybe after i get all that done - i will start taking it to the track again - it is now my daily driver
being my numbers are over 1 year old - dont know how acurate they are now... and a dyno run in LA and SANTEE about 1 month apart showed a difference of 23 RWHP for some reason w/ same fuel
my car is # 83 of 100 as far as SS LT4 builds go... salvage title kinda sucks though...

Woah, cool to see more local LT1's. Chad, you have a PM btw.
E85 is also available in LA

i know a custom cam will get me a lot more power...
somewhere on this site i think i posted my flowbench results at different lifts...if not - i will post the numbers later....
head work done by west coast cylinder head in northridge, ca

call me retarted or what ever - but im running the LT4 HOTCAM - passes CA SMOG sniffer test when im running E85

With that said, I'd like to discuss a 490RWHP hotcam car and its setup/validity. I have a hard time believing a hotcam made that power through any kind of auto unless there is a power adder involved.
The shops/track and names match but now the parts really don't match the results.

To be honest, I think we should start another thread or take our discussion to PM because we are taking over this guys results.

1/4 mile times in LACR (Palmdale, CA)
Dyno Tune done by Bob Jennings Dyno in Sepluveda, CA (San Fernando Valley - Los Angeles)
downside: 91 octane: 240miles tank / e85: 190miles tank
camaro is black 97 SS w/ a real LT4 engine, heads, intake
(a FACTORY LT4) just has a salvaged title and had the 6speed replaced w/ a 4L65 when the 6speed blew up
the only place in CA you can get E85 is pearson ford @ 15fwy/el cajon bl that i can find - anyone else have other sources?
and since regular gas is E10 - the fuel system should be fine w/ E85 - no problems yet - been running for about 2 years
**EDIT: times and dyno in signature are my best/top numbers / DynoShop in Santee about 1 year ago had me @ 463RWHP w/ same setup that i got me 486RWHP in LA / Last dyno was about 1 year ago, last time i ran was about 18 months ago**

I would say in a high compression 383 with a really good set of heads those #s are not out of the question for a hotcam...but certainly not "typical" results....

I am curious to understand how to get 12.8 CR with a stock short block. Stock specs are 3.48" stroke, 4.00" bore, piston TDC at 0.020" in the hole. With a 54cc head, 4.04" x 0.026" gasket, zero decked block and -1.5cc (est.) valve relieved flat pistons you could get 12.76 CR with a very dangerous 0.026" quench for a daily driver. At 0.035" quench, you're talking a 52cc head. Please tell us more about your combination.

It's not stock - it's a stroker. Zero-decking, 52cc heads, -5cc pistons and tight quench will get you close.

no where did i way my engine had a stock bottom end
and 91 octane gas w/ a max advance of 8deg dont ping when i ran it
(stock tune allowed for a max advance of 46deg with 10.8:1 compression) - this is a LT4 not a LT1
engine bore: 4.030
engine stroke: 3.75 = 783.85cc x 8= 6270.8cc total = 382.7 ci
52.0cc chambers (each chamber cc'ed when heads machines - lowest is 52.0 highest = 52.4)
head gasket thinkness = .035
head gasket bore = 4.060
head gasket volume = 7.43cc
-5 domed pistons - unless i did the math wrong - im pretty close on the compression ratio
havent run 91 ontane in abt 1 year now... always e85
