Stock F-Car LT1 RWHP numbers

Anyone have old dyno sheets where they dynoed their bone stock LT1 cars?

From a stock air intake box to a square exhaust tip, what would a good running LT1 dyno at?

those sound accurate for 6 speed LT1 SSs but not the older ones. I would expect 230-245 for auto LT1s.

there are a lot of variables to account for.

245RWHP is a little low for an M6. And there is a lot larger loss than 5whp from M6-A4. I've seen some dyno around 260/270rwhp.

I recall attending a local car club's dyno day with my brand new 98 TA and planting high 290s ... higher numbers than the LT1 guys with hot cams, rockers, CAI and exhaust.

if lt1's with boltons and a hotcam kit dont break 300 something is very wrong. some have put down as high as 350rwhp with a hotcam kit. Not the majority but more than a few too. I would say 330rwhp would be average for a hotcam kit.

Full bolt ons....LT's,ORY,Catback,CAI,PCM Tune,MSD wires, plugs, TB bypass, and 1.6 rr or E-w/p should put down 300rwhp through an M6. Add a hotcam and 330rwhp.

And yes if your not breaking 300rwhp then your car is ****ed up. A lot of guys put down 290-300rwhp w/ no cam at all lol

My stock 97 put down 250 breaking up in the higher RPM's. LS1's put out about 300 stock.

I would "guestimate" that the 93-95's would be:

275hp (claimed) - 18%/20% (parasitic drivetrain loss) = 225.5(18% loss)/220 (20% loss) RWHP

..and that 96-97's would be:

285 (claimed) - 18%/20% (parasitic loss once again) = 233.7(18% loss) -228(20% loss) RWHP

98+

305 (claimed) - 18%/20% = 250.1 RWHP/244 RWHP

Of course these would be guestimates on "stock" or "non-SS" cars with no mods.

My 2 pennies for ya,
Ivan

Those are all wrong.

The LT1 cars are around ~240-250 for auto's, and ~250-265ish for m6

LS1 cars are anywhere from 290 - 320 depending on year and if it got an LS6 intake stock

I think the breaking up at higher rpms on a stocker is probably valve float. JMHO
