stock lt1 to 383 stroker???? Help
I wanted to build my 94 camaro z28 lt1 engine to a 383 stroker. Would I make more power doing this then adding a 8 boost supercharger. Which one I'm I better off with. I'm looking for a streetable car but something that puts me low to mid 11's in 1/4 - Anybody ever make these times with just the 383???

You would be better off with a 10PSI blower and a 355 that was built for the blower, and strong enough to take the abuse.
A N/A engine (383) would be much more radical and could be driven on the street at the same HP level but not as enjoyablely.
Either set up would be in the 600+HP range.
The blower would be an on demand thing to make the HP while N/A would be run it (HP)all the time.

Please post LT1-specific topics in "LT1 Engine Tech".
Not sure it takes a "radical" 600HP 383 to run mid-11's..... I've run mid-11's NA at 117MPH, with about 500HP NA, and weighing nearly 3,700#. That's a pretty mild engine... it will pass NJ rolling emissions with cats, and is just as docile on the street as my stock engine was. Sounds a lot better though.....

Just trying to compare 10PSI blower engine with a n/a one.
A 355 with 10PSI should make 600HP easy on pump gas and pull your boat too.
Built a 1st gen Lightning truck 356CID that makes 520+ to the tire,runs 7.40-1/8 mile and tows the owner's 26' offshore race boat all over,driven everyday,on pump gas.and weigh's 4600lbs.
