Stock Rev Limiter Automatic Camaro Z/28

What RPM does your stock Camaro Z28 A4 shift at? I'm wondering because mine shifts at 6,000 sharp, which is all the way in the redline. I'm wondering if that is how they come from the factory, or if mine had a tune before I rebuilt it.

Stock rev limiter is about 5,808 RPM in first gear and 5,886 in higher gears, auto or manual. Stock tach tends to read high. Bought my 94 new w/ T56 and tach routinely showed 6,000 RPM before anything happened. You need a scanner to read accurate RPM directly off the PCM.

If the engine is basically stock, there's no point in revving it to 5,800 RPM.
