Storage of Used Lifters

So I bought some used lifters off of EBay, but I don't plan to goof around with the valvetrain for several months. Any suggestions on keeping these parts until then. Since they're used, they're basically just awesome dust attractors right now. Should I soak them in motor oil in a plastic bag? Do I need to clean them well later, before I install them?

Yep. Make sure they are completely submerged in clean oil for the duration of their storage.
