Re: Storing for winter.

I definetly recomend fuel stabalizer, I had my 92 Firebird in storage for about 4-5 months without starting it with a full tank of fuel. The car ran very roughly and stalled untill I had burn't the first tank of fuel and put fresh in it.

One other thing, if you have Jet Hot coated headers you need to put plastic down under your car if you store it on cement in freezing temps. It is recomended by Jet Hot for storage in their lit. I din't do it last year, and my headers develped a light layer of rust, and it was the headers first winter. I was really pissed when I found rust on my 8 month old LT headers

The car is currently tore apart right now, in the slow process of restoration. The only pics I have of it is when I first got it.

Re: Storing for winter.

Ive heard ablout the plastic when parking on cement, my bvuddies dad said they usd to throw some old carpet under the cars instead. I guess by spring time theyd be sopping wet. Not from water leaking in from melting snow either! Cement wicks water up and evaporates it from the top layer. So plastic IS a VERY good idea.

Re: Storing for winter.

I love the 64 Chevy but the 63 is about the same and just as nice.

I park my car on two sheets of 1/2 plywood so there is no moisture around.[
