Stuck heater core hoses HELP!

I am changing my heater core out and i can't seem to get the hoses off the heater core. I was going to cut them and replace, but don't know how to with those crimps to the metal lines. Is there a good way to get those hoses off, or should I cut the hose and get a hose coupler and splice new section of hose on, or any other suggestions. Car is mid-repair right now.

when I re did mine I couldnt them off cause they seemed to be melted to the metal lines so what I did was cut it as close as I could to the pipe and took a razor blade and cut it at different places and peeled it off.

If you can find a way to give it a twist, that will usually break the bond that forms between the hose and the pipe. I have been know to delicately use a pliers to help do this. Don't rip the hose or smash the pipe.
