stud girdle
#2
I used a Comp Cams small block girdle for two years on my race motor. I had no problems with the girdle itself other than the fact that it didn't stabilize the valve train adequately at 8200 RPM. Frequent valve adjustments were necessary until I switched everything to a T&D shaft rocker system.

The biggest issue would be to find one that does not interfere with the center bolt valve covers. Next would be to find a set of valve covers that would not hit the stud girdles. Moroso makes one that will do that or you can modify a set.
I bought a summit sbc girdle and did this.

Hopefully my tall valve covers would clear this girdle.

Re: stud girdle
If you install the tall rocker nuts on the rocker studs and don't have interference problems you're pretty good to go once you install the girdle.
Good luck!
