Re: Summit X-pipe+Dynomax bullets video

Can you post pics? It was a bit slow trying to get the vid. I was surprised that your bullets hang an inch lower than the LT flanges. I had a similar setup with Hooker LTs, summit X, and bullets, and the lowest part was the header collector flanges. It was originally all welded from the x pipe back, but i had flanges put on it so I could run different mufflers and swap back and forth. I went with oval Borla XS mufflers, QUIET as can be, even with the LTs, x and an 847 cam. I LOVE it now. The mufflers will scrape over big speed bumps, but the collector flange is still the lowest part. Im gonna lower my car soon and just grin and bear it. Looks all the way!

hotrod18_69, does that mean you are doing XR1's or bullets? I definitely wanna hear it when you get done.

It's amazing how much better the LT1 sounds with the X-pipe with duals.

Re: Summit X-pipe+Dynomax bullets video

Just about everyone will tell ya x-pipe is better. Here are differences between the two.
X-pipe makes more Horsepower on the top end
H-pipe makes more low end toqure.
I think X is better due to the fact that it makes the two banks ( exhaust ) cross together, thus equaling the exhaust pluses and scavaging effect making more power.
Correct me if i am wrong anyone.

Re: Summit X-pipe+Dynomax bullets video

I can vouch for this setup also.. it sounds bad ***! I really need to get my car on a lift so I can tuck it up tighter.. but I wont ride over one passenger right now because of clearance issues.. but thats just a small price to pay

Re: Summit X-pipe+Dynomax bullets video

I saw it mentioned before but I wonder how this same setup would sound if the bullets/XR1's were moved to the rear of the car. Maybe in the area where the factory muffler is or right before the bumper ( I really want to keep exhaust tips on the car). Anyone tried this?

The bullet / x-pipe setup sounds badass, I think that will be my next setup!!
