Swapping from 93 PCM to 94 PCM?????

I posted this in the computer/diagnostics but got no help.

What I want is to use LT1_Edit so I gotta get a 94-95 OBDI PCM. So I'll switch if it's possible. Does anyone know of any physical differences in the two?

The only differences I can think of are the MAF and 4l60E....are the connectors different? I was thinking of buying a wiring harness if I have to but this is the real question...

Can I switch to a 94 PCM and delete the MAF and still use Speed Density??? Thanks guys!

Major difference on the injectors... the 93 is batch fire and fires all 4 injectors in a bank at the same time, so there is only one wire from the ECM to the 4 injectors (two wires total). 94 is full sequential, so you need eight wires from the PCM to the injectors.

The pin-out on the harness at the ECM is not the same. You also need to switch to 4-wire O2 sensors, with two wires to the PCM, instead of the 1-wire sensors on the 93. There may also be differences in the theft deterent module connection to the PCM, and there is a brake switch interface on the 94 that does not show up in the 93 wiring diagram.

It would appear that you would need the 94/95 harness to make the swap a lot easier.

I knew I'd be getting into alot of work. But if it'll work I'll do it.

I fogot about the Sequential firing in the injectors. Hmm... I knew there's a substancial amount of changes, but nothing so far that can't be change easily.... Anyone else have any knowledge of the differences between the 93LT1 PCM and 94LT1 PCM???

Thanks.

What's the difference? Just about everything...

IMO to save yourself alot of time and money just get Tunercat and some EPROM equipment and do you own chips for the 93 ECM.

Same ones the later 3rd Gen's used, an 27C256 if you want an EPROM or a AT29C256 for an EEPROM (recommended).

The link I posted earlier is to a 3rd Gen site however the same proceedure/equipment works on 93's as well.
