Swapping steering wheels, do i have to worry about my airbag deploying?

I'm swapping a stock steering wheel out of my '95 for another stock steering wheel in better condition. the car i took the steering wheel out of had already blown its' airbag so i wasn't worried. the '95 has a good airbag. when i unscrew the bolts from the back, pull the wheel and disconnect the airbag connection is there any risk of it deploying?
should i disconnect the battery cable before doing this?
any advice?
thanks!

Remove the air bag fuse first and then the yellow connector under the dash. Avoid occurances of static electricity.

I've done it plenty of times. Like shoebox said, remove the fuse. I'd disconnect the negative battery terminal just to be safe too. Let the car sit for an hour or so with the battery disconnected before you proceed.

It is generally recommended that you disconnect the battery before you do any work on your car. I have seen recommendations several times about disconnecting the battery and waiting 1/2 hour or more before removing airbags.

Hmm, I wouldn't mind putting a Grant wheel on mine...

Maybe after I get to the cage/harness stage. In other words, a while!
