Question Tachometer won't work..?

I bought a new aftermarket Tachometer with a shift light to help my performance at the track. I have the power, lighting, and ground wire hooked up and they all do the job, its just when I get the the wire that hooks up to the coil. I hooked it up and nothing..

I dont know if it's because I have MSD ignition and coil that it didnt work.

My friend said I should hook it up to my MSD box tach output, but i was confused since i just cant plug a random loose wire into a clip deal.

Solutions?

hook it up to the tach wire,

under the glovebox, behind the door/trim molding(pulls off with 4 + screws) should be a plug with a blue wire you have to tap into. serch shobox's site its on there i think its called the #230 plug

The tach wire from the PCM starts at pin A13 and is white. It does go through the C230 connector. Go here and click on the C230 tab at the bottom:
