Are Taylor Thundervolt wires overkill for a stock motor?

I have Taylors and I have no complaints. I think they're great.
PoorMan, yes OVC setups need universal wires. Any 8mm wire should fit the looms and I dont see why you couldnt get some MSD 8.5mm's in their without much trouble either.

I've heard this too about Taylors being junk, they're actually the best wires i've used yet. Used them on my 89 Formula with headers and they were great, as they are on my 95. Accel are the only wires that i'd never use again. Every set i had the boots would pull away from the metal connections. Complete junk. I'm sure the MSD wires are great too.
