TBB question

I have the TBB installed on my car and it takes forever to warm up now that it's winter. I live in Sac,CA and it gets into the 30s at night. It usually takes 15 minutes of driving to warm up. This never bothered me before but I just had a kid so I'm wondering if I should reinstall the coolant lines. Will this help the car warm up faster or do all LT1s take awhole to warm up?

Re: TBB question

The bypass has nothing to do with how fast your engine warms up.

Re: TBB question

The TBB will not affect your warm up time. If you have a 160 stat or fans programmed to come on early that could affect the warm up time. Lately it's been taking my truck a lot longer to warm up in the mornings also. Last week was really bad.
My Camaro has been in my shop getting the tranny pulled and a header install the last couple of weeks so I can't use that to compare to.

Re: TBB question

GM incorporated the coolant lines into the throttle body in order to prevent the throttle body from icing shut in extreme cold conditions.
