Teflon additives?

I did a search on this, and found very little, so I figured I'd throw it out to anyone in the know.

I've always heard that teflon oil additives were a bad idea, and I was talking to my uncle about it the other day. He said that the teflon gums up around the bearing journals, and can eventually cause problems later on down the road. He said sometimes it can even cause problems with your oil pump. Anyone else have any insight on this?

Your uncle is probably very right. Dont add anything to your crankcase other than motor oil, and seafoam.

What is the reason you want to add teflon additives to your motor?
