Is there any trick to getting a brake hose off?

I can't get the end that attaches to the metal line off. I tried to turn it with all my mite but it won't budge. I tried penetrating oil too. Is it a regular thread or reverse thread?

HELP!

First of all, make sure you use a flare nut wrench on it.You might have to put a cheater pipe over the wrench to get more leverage.Standard threads.

Yup, it's a pain getting the nut off the first time. Get the correct sized socket, put a pipe over the ratchet to give you more leverage and have at it. (I slip the spare tire iron over the end of my ratchet, it's a perfect fit and works everytime in many situations)

I stripped mine, with a line wrench, trying to get it off.
Vise Grips are your friend in this situation.
Make sure you are going the right way to loosen it, its upside down and can get confusing, I looked at several times to make sure I was loosening and not tightening.

Once you get it off, it's not bad anymore. After a few years of road gunk, rust & buildup everything is harder to take off.
