Is there a difference in performance between k&n and SLP's Blackwing filters
hey people so i need help i read k&n filters are no good for 96-97 camaro's ss.
so many people use the k&n on their stock box so despite what they say about the filters they still used them??
is the slp blackwing better??
in addition which ones performs better k&n or slp blackwing filters??

More flow = less retriction = more air = more power = less debri filtered = maybe not as good for your motor.
Many filters look the same, but they actually have different plys, thicknesses, and filtering abilites. I went from a 2 ply AFe filter to a 6 ply S&B on my truck due to the desert environment I live in. Pick you poison, better filtering or better performance. That being said I wouldnt think twice about running a K&N or similar filter on my car unless I lived in a desert/sandy area.
