thermostat

is it bad to run with out a thermo stat? cuz i was thinking about do that. and what is the normal ideal for a 1994 z28?

it;s not a very good idea. it will take a long time to enter closed loop operation if you ever do at all. This means that your temps will remain very low causing poor milage and probably rough operation

Best to keep the thermostat for proper operation. Stock thermostat is 180° and many people swap to a 160°.

On the LT1 the thermostat helps to direct coolant flow, or that's what everyone says. A 160 will keep your car as cool or cooler than no thermostat. I tried no thermostat for a while, didn't really help very much, might as well get a 160.
