Those With MAC Headers: Did you coat them or not!?!?!?!!?
I am going with the MAC headers and want to know if I can get away without coating them?
I would go with the setup from jethot....but I already have a dueal catback, so the 93-95 headers will not work with that y-pipe, I need the s-pipe slp makes to turn it into a single cat conversion. So I think I am just going to get the mac headers how they come and strap them on.
I live in El Paso so I don't really need to worry about them rusting because we see no rain here. I figure I can keep the wires from touching as well.

No, and no rust on them yet, either. Sure, they will eventually rust, but then again plenty of people with coated headers have had them rust, too...
BTW, MAC has a coating on them, it's just not as hard as Jethot.

The coating on the MAC's is the same stuff that gets sprayed on cooking grills. It doesn't last long. I got my MAC's coated thorugh Paul Barry www.paulbarrymotorsports.com 3 years ago and they are still beautiful. I couldn't recommend a better place to do business.

A few people from my Header Survey commented that they did not like the coating on the Macs
