If you've been having problems with your headlights on the lowering cycle, I have found a FREE fix.
If your symptoms are that the headlights will go about halfway down and then hang up, only to close when you tap them inwards and flick the light switch on and then quickly off, this is the fix for you.
I found that the black weather guards were binding against a bolt on the fenders. I was getting really irritated with this. I mean, how cool is it to pull up to the 7-11, trying to pimp some girls in the candy isle, and one headlight stays halfway up, much like your dimwit inbred cousin with lazy eye?
So I took the weather guards off, and noting where they were binding (Noticeable by the scrapes on the fender side), I took some wire cutters and cut notches out. This way, the bolt has a slot for clearance. Since I have done this, I haven't had them bind once.
A nice little side effect is that they open and close MUCH more smoothly and quietly.
So, it's not always a worn out drive gear in the headlight motor that causes these problems.
