Agreed. You will not notice any performance gain.

Maybe 3 to 5 HP.......again, not enough to notice.

Re: Throttle body Air Foil

please make sure u secure the screw/s so it does not back out.

A member on corvette forum had one spit out its screw and it went in to join a piston for a lil while... it was like metal hamburger in there.

Well, I hope you DIDN'T strip it......because if you did, it won't hold at all.......

Re: Throttle body Air Foil

Yeah...if you stripped it, then best to remove it and get another one. You also need to make sure that shavings from the threads don't get into the engine(if possible). That may involve taking off the throttle body and removing the airfoil on a workbench. Then you can turn the throttle body upside down to make sure any metal gets removed from it.

Next time, use some blue thread locker on the threads and snug it up tight(no He-Man like force needed).

Re: Throttle body Air Foil

At this point it's probably a good idea to remove it, throw it away, and never buy a new one again.

Re: Throttle body Air Foil

No just the head. I can't get it to back out. I over tighten it. I wanted to put some thread lock on it. I'm such a amateur!
