Throttle Body Bypass

Can anybody tell me exactly how to do a Throttle Body Bypass on a 97 Z28 Camaro. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

dude, dont be stupid.. you know its more than that. I would guess atleast 100HP at the wheels above 4500rpm. you might loose some low end tq with this mod tho.

Don't think you'll gain anything,it just stops you losing a few horsepower in hot conditions. As for the downsides, you should be ok unless you live in Siberia .
I should do this mod also.
Regards,Mark.

you most likely will not see much gain as far as ET/MPH but your car will take in cooler air which does help atomization....
when you ICE down the intake between runs you dont have to worry about the throttle body heating up near as quick..
this is one of those near free mods that you wont be angy about spending a bunch of cash on a tiny-tiny gain..LOL

That's nearly as much power as a Hypertech Power Programmer will add .

There is a dyno out there showing the car gained 5rwhp after the TB bypass. Take it as you will.

You do it because it makes sense, not because there are any proven gains.JMHO

I bracket race this car so Im not much worried about gaining horsepower....Im more worried about making the car more controlable as far as temp goes which in turn I hope to make the car more consistent. Im also going to knock out the center of my thermostat. Wanting the car to run the same number more often.
