timing chain install ???

so i have read my shop manual and shoebox's website, a huge help but my question is this. when you remove the timing set for a cam swap it is removed with #1 cylinder at TDC. when you replace the timing set the cam sproket is installed so that the timing marks make it #6 cylinder at TDC. is this correct or am i not reading this right? thanks again.

Just line up the dots, rotate the engine a couple of times to make sure they are still aligned, and you will be fine. Don't let the TDC confuse you. One and six are at TDC at the same time, just different strokes (compresssion, exhaust).

I already told you it did not matter where it was when you remove it. Just line the dots up when you intall it.
