Timing question
I just had my lt1 built for boost by a engine builder. Now when he was building it he asked me about the timing on the lt1. { he hasnt built a lt1 in a while I guess. Anyway he set it dot to dot with #1 tdc. Now I looked this up and it shows #6 should be tdc. But it also says #1 and #6 are tdc at the same time. So does it matter ?

man the picture keeps changing I cant keep up, turn the motor off next time
dot to dot
it takes two turns of the crank to equal one revolution of the cam. so one turn the #1 is on top of compression, the #6 is on top of, or the end of power stroke. next round the #1 is at the end of power stroke starting exhaust stroke, the#6 is at the end of compression
I hope I got that right

Your engine builder should degree the cam to make sure it meets up with the cam card - this will eliminate questions and wasted time. Never rely on the "dot-to-dot" with any performance motor, we don't even do that on stock motors - every single one is checked on the degree wheel.
