TransAm-Z

I decided to go with an electric water pump, so that I could put the Cloyes true double roller timming set on. Tonight I tested the clearance between the timming cover and the timming chain and I have a .015 interferance. I know the gasket will fill some of this, or maybe all, but I wanted to know what others have done? Has anyone even seen this problem, and is it as simple as milling .030 or so out around the raised portion in the cover? And what is an acceptable clearance?
