Tools for fixing Intake Manafold leak

I'm going to attempt to fix my intake manifold leak and am wondering if I need any special tools. I know I'll have to get the tools to separate the fuel lines. I don't have any universal joints for my sockets so I would guess I will need one or more of those. I have some extensions and I have the other normal stuff (torque wrench, breaker bar, box/open end wrenches, etc). I have the Haynes manual and have read Shoebox's cam install page a few times so I'm ready to tackle this. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I've got all of that stuff except the fuel line disconnect tool which I can get easily enough. I'll be happy to get rid of the puddle of oil in my garage and the lovely smell my car makes after I drive it!

i forget the size of the intake bolts but if you can try to get a shallow and deep socket of that size. having a few different size'd extensions dosent hurt either

Intake are 1/2 inch. And you don't need a universal. You need a big breaker bar, 2 inch extension and a deep 1/2 socket. I just pulled the entire harness and laid it to the side. No need to lisle tools.

Not sure about yours but I just pulled my intake off this afternoon and just to make sure I went out to the garage and checked them just now and they are all 9/16

Add to that list Pencils or Japanese Chopsticks to help lay the manifold down straight Preferably chopsticks as the pensils are easy to break...

Clean all the surfaces with denatured alcohol. Use the "ultra" RTV (I like the Ultra Gray) to seal the valleys, then allow the RTV to cure-out for more than 24 hours before staring the engine.

If you start the engine immediately after installing the intake and before the RTV has cured completely, the possibility of having a leak greatly increases.

Thanks for all the replies. This is great info. Is there a certain amount of time that the RTV should sit on the block before you put the manifold back on? Are there any other tricks to get this job done? I know I need to get a piece of cardboard and put holes in it to put all the intake bolts/studs in for the correct order of them. I plan on replacing my thermostat while I've got this apart to a 160 degree and I'll change the PCV valve. Not sure if therer is anything else I should change while I'm doing this.
