Track results finally...problem though

Well here are the raw results. Only got 3 runs in and I was leaving off idle on my nitto dr's on stock stall.

60ft 1.961
1/8et 8.180
1/8mph 86.54
1/4et 12.641
1/4mph 111.99

Here comes the fun part...on the first run, the car didn't shift to 3rd and actually went to 7,000 rpm's . I was like and got off of it and then got back on it the rest of the way. I checked for damage but I got lucky and everything was okay. I still trapped 110.5 on that run. Next run (best run) I figured I should let off at top of 2nd and then mash it once it gets into third. I did that and that netted me my best time. 3rd run I let off in second, mashed it, car stayed in second, had to let off again, then shifted then mashed it and had a horrible time lol.

Why won't my car shift to 3rd at wot? And where the hell did my rev limiter go? Could my tach be off that much that I never really even got to my rev limited (supposed to be like 6400). It scared the hell outta me.

If the car would have been shifting on its own I know I could have ran a 12.2-12.3 at 115 or so. If I really would have mashed it off line I probably could have got a 1.8x 60ft and that would have helped even more. Bad day at the track for me.
Any ideas?

Did u change your rear end gears? If so, what gears are u running, and did u change ur carrier? If u switched from a two series carrier to a three series carrier, u need PROGRAMMING for the carrier as well as the gear.

Only programming required is for the change of gears. There's nothing to change in the programming for the carrier type.

Yeah it's programmed for 3.73's. I HIGHLY doubt it has anything to do w/ programming because Bryan has been 100% perfect (I mean perfect) in everything else he's done. It's probalby something like the 2-3 shift solenoid (?) or a synchro (?). Those are just ideas some friends have thrown out. Anyone had this happen to them before? I tried running a search but it's hard when everyone can call it something different like "shifting problem", "2-3 shift problem", "grrrr I hate my tranny" etc. you get the point :-).

My car was originally programmed for a 3.73, and when i drove the car, the RPMs wouldn't shift until 6700, even though the rev limit was set at 6200. The car had to be reprogrammed again for a three series carrier in order for the shift points to work correctly.

If both carriers had the same gears, no programming would be necessary if you swapped the two.

Your shift points were probably not set right the first time.

You can't program for a 2 or 3 series carrier. The computer doesn't care what carrier is in the rearend, just what gear it is.
If your tuner told you that, you might want to consider running...
And judging by who tuned your car....

Last time I went to the track my car did that . My 1/2 shift was made at 6200 then my 2/3 shift never came I finally let off the gas at 6500. I have never heard of this before. my engine and trans only has 10k on it. It shifts into 3rd fine at 5000 or part throttle. It goes into overdrive like its supposed to under normal driving.
