Trick to reconnecting steering column?

1. Widen the slit in the female end with a large screwdriver, just wiggle it to pry it open. If its open enough youll be able to slide it in enough to get it to wiggle the rest of the way on hopefully.
2. Loosen (do not remove) the bolts that hold your steering wheel in place from above the driver pedals. This will give you a bit more wiggle room for angling the steering shaft if needed.
3. I seem to recall attaching it to the R&P Side last, however my memory is foggy It may have been the other way around...
4. Tighten the bolts back up

I had to grind my Steering column joint thing down a bit to clear my macs (With brand new mounts already in)

I would say the collapsible portion of that steering shaft has been compromised. It's not supposed to slide in and out.

After countless hours of messing with it, I finally got it. A hefty time on the bench grinder and it clears no problem now, atleast until the engine torques under load lol... not to mention it's very shiny.
