tuning and cc306?

Ok guys mods in my sig, I have decided to go with the cc306 on a 112LSA. My question is will it run on a stock tune? I am also throwing some P&P heads on there with 2.00-1.55 valves. It is a manual so I'm not worried about stall, I'm more concerned with idle quality, performance, and so on and so forth. Thanks guys.

If you can, get somebody with Tunercat, LT1 Edit, etc...A mail order is alright for bolt-ons, but I don't think you get the full benefit of the h/c that way...You have to be able to run a few datalog's, and then change accordingly...

Well my mail order tune was pretty good. I had shorty headers w/ all other bolt ons w/ the 306 and put down 385rwhp. I think that was pretty good considering it was mail order. I gained another 12 peak hp and 30 mid range hp from dyno tuning.

It had alot of cam surge and trouble idling with stock tune, but after some LT1 Edit modifications it was very drivable.

that's where most of my concerns come into play. I have a manual so idling at 900 is where it is anyways. I'm worried about the whole 100 miles to a full tank and revving it to 1500 just to take off and cruising at 1500 makes the car buck!! Are you guys using 1.6 rollers as well with the cam?

I have the CC306, ported LT1 heads,1.6 RR Dynateck LT's and a stock tune. I ended up disconnecting my o2's cause I was fouling plugs. After that the car runs fine. I can break the tires loose at a 30 roll, so its got some power. I get 12mpg city, around 15 hwy.
Thats with an A4 with 3:23 rear.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure once it's tuned it'll be a hell of a lot better though.

Similar with me, had to disconect O2 in order for cc306 and long tubes to run properly. Better spend $100 for pcm4less or madwolf and you will have

That's what I want to hear!! i will get a pcm tune but Dean from Ned said he was going to play with it so that the tune could wait hopefully we will see, I cannot afford to be down waiting for the pcm tune and no duckets for stock replace until the tune comes back to me.

Just get the thing tuned. Why would you not want to? It'll give you more.
