Question Turn signal fuse...

Yesterday out of the blue, my turn signals just stopped working while I was driving. I checked my hazards and they worked fine, so I figured it must have been the flasher unit. I replaced that and was surprised to see that my turn signals still didn't work. I checked the turn signal fuse - it was blown. So I replaced it, and went on my merry way, turn signals working. Stopped down the road, shut the car off... When I got back in and left, the fuse had blown again. I replaced it again... sure enough next time I shut the car off, the fuse blew AGAIN. I've noticed that when the turn signals are working, they blink a lot slower than usual.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Hopefully it's something simple I can fix myself.

Thanks!

Unhappy

Well after checking all of the bulbs and immediate wiring, no moisture or problems to be seen. Any other ideas? Having no turn signals BLOWS. (Backup lights are out as well, same fuse... ugh)

Sounds like something is going to ground. Many times the sockets corrode and go bad. I would start checking there as well as looking for chaffed / pinched wires. Mike

Check the turn signal connector located underneath the dash, you will have to take the cover off. The green wire may be loose and not crimped down all of the way. This is what was wrong with mine on my 99 and 02.
