tv cable question

My friend adjusted it last night and it shifts harder and much later than it normally does. I was wondering, is there supposed to be any slack left? Is it fine to have it like that? He didnt leave any and i was just curious.

It's not gonna be guitar string tight. If it's not giving you any problems it's probably ok the way it is. You're probably just noticing how lose it is because you're paranoid about messing with it. It's pretty lose with the factory setting.
