K, I'll call Moroso and tell them I'd like to see a max of 70psi come out of this pump, if the standard spring included can handle it.

Re: Ugh, more oil pressure woes, pressure is dropping at WOT now..

how many miles/hours do you have on this motor?

how many miles on this oil / filter change?

how many times have you changed the oil?

uuuh..

20 miles / 1.5 hours runtime?

10 miles on this particular change?

This would be the 3rd time i've changed the oil, since I've been experimenting with different weights.

--------------------------------------

Contacted Moroso.. they said the pickup should work the same in pretty much any 8.25" pan depth.

I've emailed them now about the spring.

I have done as asked

I have checked with Moroso and Melling on spring recommendations for the M55 standard volume/standard pressure pump. Waiting on an answer from both.

I'm going to E-mail Milodon in regards to the pickup height question.

If I get a go from all those I'll order the pump/pickup tomorrow.

Re: Ugh, more oil pressure woes, pressure is dropping at WOT now..

I think I've found my answer..

From Moroso:

The pump comes with two springs in the box. Install the higher pressure spring (longest one), and you will see 65-75 psi at peak engine rpm.
I've located the pump in town, gonna pick it up tomorrow.

Tell me about it

My car has been plagued with problems now for close to 6 months now... sucks.

I think I'm gonna take a break from it this weekend and finish up next week or next weekend. Will have the pump in hand tomorrow tho.

It's a Moroso pump.. but it's really a Melling M55 with Moroso adding their pickup and whatnot.
