you rev the car in first to say 3000 with the left foot on the clutch, then you pop the clutch and hurry up and slam on the brake (left foot). its kinda complicated, i could explain it to ya all day, ide have to show ya. most people end up stalling the car (you gotta be quick). once you get the 6spd (if you do decide to) as you get used to the car youll figure out all the tricks and stuff in no time.

yes... but with the absence of a stall converter the tires would just spin... i know cause i have video of my friend doing that exact thing in his 95 z m6

but that would be the ****iest launch in history... you would just burnout and go nowhere...
not necessarily, given the right amount of stall you can launch a 6spd with minimal spin. you just gotta know the car and how much stall it'll take w/o breaking em loose once you pop the clutch. however ive seen a guy rev the hell out of this 5.0 and when the flagman dropped his hands that m/f just hooked ...however he was sittin on ET streets . still with any set of decent tires it can be done.

almost all of the m6 people are just there for the "fun to drive" factor of changing gears... whereas autos are better drag racers.... easier to launch, more consistant... faster... (a computer can shift faster than ANY person, no matter how good they are)

and have MUCH more potential with stalls and all... you can knock almost a second off the quarter with NO MODS... just a high stall...

and... how fun is it to drive in traffic with one of those puppies?

i think m6 is winning with people be traditional... rather than practical
Could you be more wrong... M6s ARE tougher to drive consistently. It is entirely based on the driver. With a good driver an M6 will beat an A4 no questions asked. And on a side note Drag Racing is not the only type of racing you know.

As far as practical goes. How can you possibly relate practicality to drag racing.

All right, this is how it goes. If you buy an automatic, it's gonna die eventually. Mine died at 70,000 miles, but I had a warr so it only cost me $100 deductable. Make sure you cover your *** and you should have no problem. Now my tranny shifts like a bad ***, so changin the tranny was the best thing I ever did.
Good Luck Bro,
