Ummm........Jason Cromer...nah.

Okay guys.... I know a lot of you have done business with Jason and love him. But lately I've read a few posts that haven't been so happy. When I deal with him, I don't find him much cheaper than anywhere else. But this recent one leaves me very upset.

Back in September, I ordered a LT 4 timing chain and some studs. He said they didn't have any Extreme Duty chains but were expecting them in. I called back a couple of weeks later and asked him if he had shipped it yet, he told me that it hadn't come in yet. I told him to cancel the order and he said okay. I get a set locally and 2 days later......low and behold I have a box from him with the parts I cancelled. I called him and he told me sorry and that he'd send me a label to send it back. Didn't get one. Two weeks later, I call him and he tells me that he didn't send it and asked for my address again...(I have ordered from them before and should have it) and I give it to him. It's been another 2 weeks and I haven't got it. I'm gonna call tomorrow and talk to a supervisor cause I still got this 300.00 charge on my credit card.

I don't want anyone to bust on me for this......it's just an information thing. If you can get it locally, might as well. Sorry CROMER fans.

dunno about you but i just got my parts i ordered on monday. cromer shipped faster and more professionally than any RETAIL place ive purchased from. and im sure he makes quite a bit less than them.

and how do his prices not compare to others? i picked up a cam from him for $40 less than gmpartsdirect, thats a good deal in my opinion.

I'm a big fan of buying products off of supporting vendors... but that's just me.

amen to that, I just ordered a set of o2's from him and will get some more goodies soon. I figure I'm giving money to someone actually involved in our hobby instead of the pukes at the local chebby dealer. That and I've learned TONS from this site, i wanna keep it going.

What are you guys talking about? Neither Jason, nor Dal is a sponsor here. Same goes for gmpartsdirect. (I've seen them sponsor on corvetteforum but not here)

PS. Jason's been OK for me. Sometimes kinda slow, but I got my parts.

honest?? anyone can be honest. It's what you do about it. He's told me twice he'd send me a slip to send it back and I still haven't got anything. Guy's don't get me wrong...I've bought stuff from him before without a hitch. He's been very professional and helpful. Maybe he's just getting overwhelmed with all the orders or something. I'm just frustrated because this things been adding up on my credit card for nothing. I got this box in September for cryin out loud.

Try dealing with your local parts dept at retail prices.

I'm sure he is a very busy man. You're not the only one to complain. Any place is going to have it's share of messed up transactions. Obviously, you are free to buy from whomever you wish. Hope you get your transaction sorted out.

I bought a 1LE intake elbow from Cromer. Smooth sailing on that transaction, however I use GMpartsdirect now, I like being able to search for parts and put in a number to see a description of it.
