underdrive pulley question???
I have the G2 underdrive pulley, and hat it, my battery goes way below 13 volts into the red zone at a stop.
i want to take it off but lost one of the original bolts, can i still take it off and use the bolts that came with the G2 pulley to secure the stock crank pulley back on??????

Man, I dont know about that.
G2 is way overpriced...but dont give up on the pulleys, get a March Pulley from Summitracing. They guarantee a charge at idle...no problems with mine and I have a serious sound system. Wish I knew more amigo...good luck bro

If your talking about the stock balancer bolts, why dont you just go get another bolt?? You can go to a chevy dealer or auto parts store, shoebox has the thread size and length on his webpage.

New bolts you used are too long for the stock pulley. Where did you put the stock bolts when you took them out? Hope you didn't throw them out! Call LG and get the alternator pulley. Thats what I did. The automatic tranny cars take a hit with underdrive crank pulley's. The alternator pulley fixed me up, it was like $15.

You're problem is that the alternator is not spinning fast enough to keep you at the proper charge. You probably just bought the crank pulley. Same thing happened to me and I purchased a 30% overdrive pulley for the alternator and it took care of everything.
I am selling my pulleys if you are interested.
