Which valve covers to use on LT4 w/ 1.6 RR
I got the 355 crammed in the TA today, and when I attempted to put the valve covers on they wouldn't sit down. I swore I thought I test fit them, but evidently not. What valve covers can be used with the GMPP 1.6 RRs? I'm considereing LT4. Also, Jeg's sells a set of Moroso's that are centerbolt and supposedly machined for more rocker arm clearance. What valve covers has everyone else had success with? Thanx.

My stock LT1 valve covers worked fine with the GM 1.6 rr's. I didn't know that they wouldn't fit LT4 heads. I would get the LT4 valve covers though. I've been wanting to get a set of them, they look sweet plus they quiet down the noise from the valvetrain.

Summit makes a centerbolt valve cover that is taller and it looks pretty sweet. Here's a link:

That's what I'm going to be putting on my car. If you don't like those, just shop around Summit for centerbolts.

I have LT4 heads with GMPP RR's and had no problem clearing the rockers with my stock LT1 VC's. I since switched over to a polished alumnium set from Racenet, which gave me more clearance and were already fit for the alternator (they're super-sweet BTW). They were backstocked and took a while to get here, though.
