Valve spring ??
I have a EE 230 236 112 .544/.554 cam and I had my springs checked and they were 125#@1.880 325#@1.356. I'm having a problem with vale float what springs would work with this cam and how much spring pressure should I have? Right now I have a crane spring (10308-1 I think).
Thanks Shayne

Re: Valve spring ??
i have the same came but on an XE grind. u need 135# at 1.8inch. with max lift ratings at .580 or .600. Combination motorsports has a set that will let u use without putting in shims or machining the seats.

Re: Valve spring ??
same cam and same springs as you guys, and i have valve float at about 6400. When i researched all of this everyone told me that the springs would handle the max lift (they are good for .600" of lift) but they are a hair on the soft side for the extreme ramp rates of this cam. What is sad is that my motor makes power until 6800. What's really odd is that my valve float gets back under control at about 6550. When i was at the dyno, the tech was dumbfounded. Anywho, i just keep her below 6400 for now. Oh well, she's only gonna stay a lil tree-fiddy for a lil while longer, i have a 383 in the works, and my valvetrain is gonna be bullet proof.
