seems to be low RPM related... just took the car around the block... and it wasn't the Clutch...and I don't think it's the Tranny mount. My exhaust sounds rather different ... has a put put put added to it... and when I stomp on the gas I don't get a good response.... can this be a fuel related issue?
Can a LEan condition cause somehting like this? Bad 02's????

Check intake system and see if it is taking in any extra air, especially from the intake elbow(if it is cracked). Also check all plug wires and ignition coil wires.

Hope it helps.

Sounds like a miss. I'd check your plugs, wires and the coil.

Don't forget to check the coil wire too.

Do you have OBDI or II. If you have II you will generally get a flashing SES if there is a misfire condition.

If you have an SES then scan the car.

I just changed out the coil and such... and I did pull some plugs... maybe a wires to close to the EHader or something... There's no back firing or anything.. no codes...going off.... but that really doesn't mean anything.... I'll check all those things...

Thanks dude.... I just hope this doesn't cost me anything to fix...

On another note... it's amazing how detailed you can hear the engine with straight pipe...

Man I really love my camaro... but I must admit this is an abusive relationship....

If you run your hand along the plug wires, you'll probably find some that are cracking or crumbling and need to be replaced.

If you just replaced them, then odds are you've got one burned against your headers. Start with checking #6 and 8....

new light is shedding on the 14.9 & 92mph....

Can't wait to tackle this tommorrow morning...

I think this time I'll just leave the jack stands under there and wait for something else to break... that way I'll have a head start...

Got it... Plug wire was up against header and the Rubber coating melted ... go figure.. I knew it was something wierd... cause I ran over some train tracks right before it happend. The Wire slipped out the metal Spark plug shield that runs along the block... Just patched it up with some black tape... and tucked it back in... didn't see any damage to the plug... just the coating... Worked regular afterwards...

But on a side not ... I patched one wire up by covering the exposed area in silicon... can I do that to this one also to fix it?

Sound like it's time for a new set of plug wires.

Black tape?
